Google is well known as a search engine. Google has now come out with a new operating system for cell phones. This OS is known as ‘Android’ and is currently already out on a few phones. Android is a very functional smart phone OS and is highly coveted by anyone wh
o knows their way around phones. The newest phone with the Android platform on it is indeed the Nexus One.
Google announced on their blog on December 12, 2009 that they ha
d in fact handed the Nexus one out to their employees. Unlike others phones the Nexus comes unlocked and ready for use with any carrier. Sales of the phone will be started in 2010 for a price which is not known at this time. The phone includes 2 microphones, no physical keyboard and a 3.5 inch super high resolution screen. You may be asking yourself why two microphones? Two microphones to help cancel background noise for clearer conversation. Another great tool new to the cell phone world is talk to text. This feature will translate voice to text for texts, emails and notes.Rumors of the Nexus phone hit the web when a tweet was sent out by Cory O’Brien. Cory is a blogger from San Francisco who had got his hands on one and had sent a picture out for the web to view. The blogger also had this to say, “Google Phone = iPhone + a little extra screen and a scroll wheel. Great touch screen, and Android.”
